As the holiday season fills the air with warmth and joy, we at Mountain Camp Woodside would like to take a moment to reflect on the incredible memories we’ve created this year and the exciting opportunities that lie ahead. The Holidays and the end of the year are times for togetherness, gratitude, and anticipation — values we hold dear at camp and carry into everything we do.

The Holidays remind us to count our blessings, and one of the greatest blessings we celebrate is our camp family. From the smiling faces of campers to the dedication of our counselors and staff, each person who contributes to MCW makes it special. The bonds formed over camper groups, shared adventures, and quiet moments are like the lights on a Christmas tree—each unique but shining brightest together.
This year, we witnessed countless moments of growth and connection. From kids learning to make a friendship bracelet to overcoming their fear of heights, to trying something new, each triumph was a reminder of the incredible potential in every child. These memories are our gifts, ones we cherish long after camp has ended.

As we turn the calendar to a new year, we do so with excitement for what’s to come. We ae already t preparing for another summer of adventure, fun, and growth. Our team is already brainstorming new activities, updating challenges and All-Camp activities, and planning ways to make next summer the best one yet.
For families, the new year is also a wonderful time to start thinking about the lessons and experiences you want for your kids. Camp is more than just a place to spend the summer; it’s a chance for children to develop independence, build resilience, and create memories that last a lifetime. It’s a gift of opportunity, one that keeps giving long after the last marshmallow has been toasted.
